This video was created to answer the common question I get from customers;
“How can I deal with joint pains and muscle aches.”
I will focus on diet, fitness, and supplements.
Staying active and eating healthy is the most important factor here.
Don’t worry I’m not talking about hardcore dieting or running a marathon. It’s the light, basic activities with a proper diet and added supplements that help maintain a healthy body that feels good.
NUTRITION
Nutrition is what I want to talk about.
The food you consume to stay active is vital. You need to provide your body with the right nutrition in order for you to see changes.
Proper nutrition will help your body recover and stay energized.
Good food is awesome! Be careful though of the tempting food that you eat until you can’t breathe anymore.
Sugary, processed foods like cookies and desserts are calling to you behind closed cabinet doors.
Now, I am not saying I don’t enjoy a cookie every now and then. I believe Everything is good in moderation.
Foods I Eat
I wanted to share with my diet and the types of food I eat. If you follow this I guarantee you will start to feel better.
It will not be overnight but if you stay consistent you will see a big difference in your life.
As a kid I hated vegetables! However, for the past couple of years, I’ve gotten into vegetables because I’m preparing them differently.
Play around with how you make your vegetables. They can be delicious.
Lean meats are something I also highly suggest! Look at ground beef that is 95% lean 5% fat
I eat chicken almost every single day. You can use chicken in lots of meals.
I’ll make fajitas tonight. I am careful about what I put in my fajitas. I skip the sour cream and substitute with low-fat plain Greek yogurt.
Eggs are great in the morning if you’re in a rush try boiling a dozen of them one night and take two of them with you for your breakfast or lunch throughout the week.
Fruits! I love fruits. I can eat fruit every single day all day long! Watermelon, avocados (good oil and fats), strawberries (with amazing antioxidants).
Stay focused on your meat, fruits, and veggies. If you do this I guarantee you you’ll be feeling a lot better.
Not overnight if you have to stay consistent. Stay consistent!
Play around look up recipes. Learning how to cook is fun! Get into it. Enjoy what you eat and enjoy all the fun combinations of meals you can create.
I know sometimes it’s tough to eat healthy, especially in the summertime when the grill is on. There are hamburgers, hot dogs, desserts, and sodas but be careful.
Enjoy the summertime. Enjoy the food but stay conscious. Eat wisely and in moderation.
Living a healthy lifestyle is important.
By eating proper fruits, veggies, and lean meats you can make a difference.
Shopping doesn’t have to be expensive.
Go to your local market. Local businesses usually have great deals and sometimes their products are a lot better.
So go out there and support local businesses.
FITNESS
After learning how to eat the right foods is, staying active and exercising comes next.
You will be amazed. When you eat proper you have more energy. When you have more energy you want to exercise more.
Exercising doesn’t mean that you have to go out and run 8 miles or do a million push-ups.
Good movement is simple and stimulates healthy living.
Movement helps joints recover and helps the muscle around the joints to strengthen. Helping you remove some of the pain and discomfort you are feeling.
Again stay consistent. It might be uncomfortable at first but stick with it. In time your muscles will strengthen and remove unneeded stress on your joints.
Take a few minutes of your day and move.
Take a walk, jump rope for a minute or two just get your heart rate going.
I personally hate running! I can’t run a mile, I get bored.
Find something you enjoy to get in some cardio on a daily basis.
Resistant band exercises are great to help strengthen the muscles. Personally I would much rather be at the gym, but we have to work with what we got.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money and time to stay fit.
It may sound silly but while I’m watching TV I do 20 push-ups during commercials. It’s a game I play with myself just to stay active.
Take time to stretch. Stretching is amazing and a great reward for yourself. It feels so good!
Keep in mind to start simple.
Healthy living is as easy as eating fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and staying active.
